Primate licensing workshop January 2026

With the new Animal Welfare (Primate Licensing) (England) Regulations 2024 coming into force we collaborated with the Institute of Licensing and Monkey World to put on a two-day  workshop teaching the licence inspectors all the different aspects of the new legislation. Day 1 held at the charity education headquarters consisted of a variety of talks from both the Institute of Licensing and from Alison who has been a major driving force in bringing about this much needed change. Day 2 was a mix of theory and practical sessions including a behind the scenes look at some of the primate facilities at Monkey World to give the inspectors some idea of what they would be looking for when they are inspecting.
